South Downs Way Cafes

It is recommended to bring a packed lunch along with you when walking, riding or biking the South Downs, as once on the Downs refreshments are few and far between. However, between the stretches, many of the villages along the way have a nice selection of cafes in which you can stop off to enjoy a nice cup of coffee and a cake. In order to reach some of the cafes on the South Downs Way, you may have to leave the Way slightly, but they are often not far from the main route and only a short detour. If you don’t see anything you like below, we also have a collection of recommended Pubs and Restaurants along the South Downs Way.

Below we have compiled a list of cafes on the South Downs Way, including the best coffee stops.
